Terms & Conditions

White Soul Ski Co. · Last Updated: 2026

1. Scope of Service

All ski instruction, off-piste guiding, coaching, touring, and related alpine activities are delivered by Terry Walker under the trade name White Soul Ski Co. Sessions are conducted within the Val d'Isère and Tignes lift frameworks, unless alternate travel destinations are explicitly agreed upon in advance.

2. Booking Window & Payment Schedule

  • Advance Bookings: To safeguard date allocations made outside a 2-month window, full settlement of fees is required strictly 2 calendar months before your first session date. Failure to fulfill payments by this automated gate results in the cancellation of your reservation and the release of those calendar days back to the public ledger.
  • Short-Notice Bookings: For reservations secured within 2 calendar months of execution, payment links must be completed within 2 hours to maintain calendar locking.

3. Strict Cancellation Policy & Refunds

Operating as an independent guide means slot availability is finite. Our cancellation milestones adhere to standard regulations for professional ski operators in France:

  • Cancellations outside 4 weeks: Cancellations submitted more than 4 weeks prior to the initial scheduled lesson are eligible for a full refund (minus any unrecoverable card merchant transaction processing fees).
  • Cancellations inside 4 weeks: All cancellations requested within 4 weeks of the session start date are strictly non-refundable.
  • Injury and Medical Issues: No refunds or credits are granted if a client is unable to ski due to illness, injury, lack of physical conditioning, or medical emergency occurring before or during the holiday block. We strongly emphasize the importance of acquiring comprehensive winter sports travel insurance that covers full lesson fees in the event of injury.

4. Weather Conditions & Lift/Resort Closures

Mountain weather is highly variable. White Soul Ski Co. does not offer refunds, reductions, or automatic rescheduling under any of the following occurrences:

  • Adverse weather metrics (snowstorms, rainfall, extreme fog, sub-zero temperature variations).
  • Poor snow conditions (iced slopes, un-skiable crust, lack of deep snow volume).
  • Partial, major, or full closures of the resort lift systems due to high alpine wind speeds, visibility limitations, or elevated avalanche hazard warnings.

If lift lines are operational, lessons continue as planned. If the resort is fully closed down, Terry Walker reserves total professional discretion to identify safe local options or adapt itinerary delivery methods.

5. Acceptance of Inherent Risk & Alpine Safety Warning

Skiing, snowboard instruction, off-piste guiding, and high-alpine ski touring carry inherent risks of severe personal injury, permanent disability, or death. By checking our agreement box and paying your invoice, you explicitly accept these severe environmental hazards.

Terry Walker holds top-tier certifications and will apply all standard alpine safety parameters, tracking charts, and local weather indicators to actively manage terrain risks. However, the mountain environment is inherently unpredictable. Clients must obey all situational safety instructions immediately. For all off-piste and backcountry routing, utilizing a functional avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe profile is completely mandatory.

6. Insurance Mandate

It is a non-negotiable term of booking that all participants possess valid winter sports insurance coverage. Your policy must explicitly include coverage for off-piste skiing with an instructor/guide, high-altitude search and helicopter medical evacuation (such as local French Carré Neige coverage), and personal third-party liability.
